Angels Along The Trent – Fundraising Event

I declare that I am medically fit to run and that I enter the run at my own risk. I understand that the organisers (ORC) will in no way be responsible for any injury or illness incurred during or as a result of the event or for any property lost, stolen or damaged.

Sian Hopper was diagnosed with a Pilocytic Astrocytoma brain tumour.

For the last 5 years Sian has been in and out of hospital and unfortunately recently readmitted to help control high cranial pressure and Hydrocephalus;  several more surgical procedures to deal with this very serious complication and several really long spells in hospital. Since being in hospital it has made Sian realise how fortunate she is to have the amazing NHS staff on ward D10, The Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham to help her recover from operations, be a shoulder to cry on and keep Sian’s spirits high.

With this in mind, She is trying to fund-raise for the ward to buy resources for patients and staff which will help to make their time in hospital a little more comfortable.

To help Sian do this some really great friends of mine from Overseal Running Club are going to be running from QMC, Notingham to Overseal in Derbyshire. The run will take place on Saturday 16th March 2024 and will be around 35 miles. I would really appreciate it, if you could help me raise as much money as we can for this extremely worthy cause.
